Launched in 2008 the World Architecture Festival is where the global architecture community meets to celebrate, learn, exchange and be inspired. GROHE, the founder partner of WAF, is proud to be the main sponsor of WAFVirtual, an online conference that will take place from 30 November to 4 December 2020, where architects can engage live content, special prizes, talks, panel discussions and networking opportunities. GROHE will also sponsor the WAF Water Research Prize 2020 that will be presented by Patrick Speck, VP Design & Consumer Experience EMENA, LIXIL Global Design.
With the overall theme of “Living with Pandemics”, the headline speakers of WAFVirtual will include Sir Peter Cook, Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang and Ben van Berkel of UNStudio. Renowned panellists from Asia will include past WAF winners Sanjay Puri, Manit Rastogi, Lyndon Neri, Maria Warner Wong, as well as Takaharu and Yui Tezuka. The series of talks will discuss pressing international topics including living with pandemics and winning new business in a post-Covid world, as well as looking at the very latest developments in product design, technical innovation, and emerging architects.
